I was talking to Alex, (the lad with the massive tattoo on his arm)and he was talking about the circulation along Briggate, in particular Commercial street and Kirkgate. Where they connect on to briggate, in a crossroads, pedestrian traffic rarely crosses briggate straight into each other. It just flows into Briggate.
